Established patients can text NYGA to schedule an appointment, refill a prescription, request medical records, or ask non-medical questions. Similarly, NYGA can reach patients via text, and patients will automatically receive appointment reminders and prep instructions via text.
The text starts as a standard SMS message and converts into a secure, HIPAA-compliant conversation upon the patient clicking the embedded link and verifying their identity. Established patients who text NYGA are automatically identified to NYGA. Both parties can send and receive images and files.
